Terms of use

Transcript Pocket is a local utility for playing media and timed-caption files that you provide.

Your files and rights

You are responsible for having the right to use the audio and transcript files you open. The service does not host, distribute, scrape, or transcribe those files.

Transcript accuracy

The app displays the contents and timing of your sidecar file. It does not promise that a transcript is complete, verbatim, synchronized perfectly, or suitable for any safety-critical use. Transcript Pocket is not an accessibility or medical certification.

Free player and Pocket Plus

Core playback, synchronized reading, text sizing, search, bookmarks, and export remain free. Pocket Plus is a US$12 one-time license for appearance controls. Sociobot/Dodo is the merchant of record. It handles payment and refund requests; refunded purchases result in license revocation. A license is for personal use and may be restored on your devices.

Availability and warranty

The software is provided “as is” under the MIT License, without warranties. Browser media and storage support varies. We may improve or discontinue hosted availability, but an installed, cached version and exported data remain under your control subject to browser behavior.

Fair use

Do not interfere with the hosted app or billing service, attempt fraudulent purchases, or use the service in violation of law. These terms are governed by applicable law where the merchant of record operates.
